The AI Kingdoms update is now in beta, hooray! But where’s beta 1 you ask? We graduated Alpha 45 to beta 1 (it was secretly a beta build candidate all along). So beta 2 is the next major build after Alpha 45. Here’s the notes:
Features:
- New pass on AI wall building so that they won’t trap their ships anymore and obey height limits
- AIs now build stone walls and ballistas
- Added new ai dialogue about a jousting match (must have a jousting arena built to see it)
- Added trash icon to ship logistics ui that allows you to drag nodes to it to delete (in addition to the existing ways to delete nodes)
- Allow AI to build noria using moats just like player if there isn’t freshwater on their coasts
Improvements:
- Disable option to ask allied AI to declare war on enemies if there aren’t any other AIs
- Allow player to see AI building health when clicking on it
- Added kingdom share button to main menu (text needs updating – known issue)
- Reduced amount of caves that spawn
- Removed population estimation from foreign island info and replaced with ruler opinion of you
- Improved AI invasion landing zone and target picking
- Improved blacksmith resource gathering
Fixes:
- Fixed issue where AI would block off a river by placing a dock in the middle
- Fixed grave keeper rotation bug
- Fixed player not being able to unload troops on bridges
- Fixed rare bug where AI would drop off troops in deep water
- Fixed rare bug where troops could be dropped off and phase through a wall
- Fixed issue with witch curse fire sucking up jobs and then causing future fires to not be able to be put out
- Fixed issue where resource count would go up and down as stockpile workers and builders picked up and drop resources
- Fixed case where AI could build too many treasure rooms
- Fixed AIs not defending their land from invaders with ground troops
- Fixed pier decaying
- Fixed exploration ships triggering AIs asking you to remove your troops
- Fixed camera jiggle at low frame rates
- Fixed max gold not updating when taking over an AI Kingdom
- Fixed fire effect being offset for some buildings
- Fixed diplomat pathing issuer troops
